The 25th annual conference “Confirming Conformity of Information and Communications Equipment” organized by the Federal Communications Agency took place in Sochi on September 23-27. Andrey Burlak, Head of the Directorate for Legal Support and International Cooperation at the Federal Service for Accreditation, attended the conference and delivered a speech on “Novelties in the legislative regulation of the national accreditation system. Main vectors of the national accreditation system development.”
The RusAccreditation representative started his presentation with a welcoming address to the participants of the conference on behalf of Alexey Khersontsev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation - Head of RusAccreditation.
“The establishment of the current certification system for the means of communication was the result of joint work of the Federal Service for Accreditation and the Federal Communications Agency. On the one hand, the rules in the system are absolutely transparent for all its participants, but on the other hand, it is an effective barrier to bringing telecommunication equipment that does not meet modern requirements to the market, which may be harmful to the public communications network of the Russian Federation,” the speaker recited the words of the Deputy Minister.
The speaker observed the main amendments to legislative acts concerning the national accreditation system in 2018-2019. He paid special attention to the latest novelties related to the Orders of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development No. 89 dated February 27, 2019, and No. 506 dated August 19, 2019. Andrey Burlak informed the participants of the meeting about the improvement of the public services rendering procedure by RusAccreditation, the new tools of the federal state control over the activity of accredited CABs, the modernization of the federal government information system in the field of accreditation, the global activity of RusAccreditation, and the implementation of the regulatory guillotine mechanism.
